I am in an amazingly good mood today, even after a full day of class! I got a new record yesterday thanks to Mike P. It's The Beatles- Abbey Road. I was fourteen when I fell in love with The Strokes. I saw a picture of Fabrizio Moretti and that was that. When I was fifteen I decided to move back to La Romana, DR and met my first boyfriend Charlie and by chance he was also a huge fan of them too. Luckily, Arturo, Popa, Charlie, Luispunk, and Yong decided to start a strokes cover band before they wrote their own stuff (the band has changed members and they're mostly in new york now). Anywhooo- The Strokes were an important part of my sophomore year in high school. We played them 24/7. Anyways when I got back to Oregon I had the chance to see them in Portland and Seattle and let me tell you - it was SOOO fun. Anyways the point of this lame post is to let all of you fans, whoever you may be, that the strokes are coming out with their 4th album! I will always love them for their music and the great great memories i had while listening to them. so on that note here is one of my favourite songs by them.

The Grammys

The Grammys are on right now. It just makes me realize how shitty most music is these days and the worst part is, it's rewarded! What constitutes good music? I guess whatever the public decides but not on my blog! I've decided that I will do my own version of the Grammys but with my own categories!

I have become incredibly fascinated (almost obsessed) with this whole idea of Astrology. I am afraid that I am being too quick to judge people because of their sign. I sometimes think it's bullshit but it's haunting me how oddly on point it can be. I found a great website if you are interested in knowing more about your sign. Don't judge a book by it's cover. After making various phone calls to friends and family I have been able to raise $600 dollars to donate to Redcross for Haiti.

On another note - I am so happy to have my own blog! I would like this blog to be a place people come and share music, movies, art, ideas, books, restaurants! Anything. A friend of mine showed me this band little joy. The Strokes' drummer Fab Moretti is one of the guitar players. I love her voice and this song especially.
