The Grammys

The Grammys are on right now. It just makes me realize how shitty most music is these days and the worst part is, it's rewarded! What constitutes good music? I guess whatever the public decides but not on my blog! I've decided that I will do my own version of the Grammys but with my own categories!

I really can't think of anything right now off of the top of my head. I'm sure most of you have heard the party of the year songs but if you haven't had a chance to listen to empire of the sun or midnight juggernauts I HIGHLY RECOMMEND doing so. Songs to especially check out - we are the people, walking on the sun, half-past, shadows, ending of an era, into the galaxy.. there are so many.. too many to list.

On another note!!! I am back in Portland for the weekend (took a much needed break away from Eugene) to celebrate my sisters 30th birthday! BEAVERTON BAKERY HAS THE BEST CAKES/DESSERTS EVER! go check them out! totally reasonable also.

I realize I haven't been keeping too up to date on this blog but that will all change very soon. I am going to start working on my second track for all of you who enjoyed the first one. If no one did, well who cares! Maybe this second one you'll enjoy more?

Astrology

I have become incredibly fascinated (almost obsessed) with this whole idea of Astrology. I am afraid that I am being too quick to judge people because of their sign. I sometimes think it's bullshit but it's haunting me how oddly on point it can be. I found a great website if you are interested in knowing more about your sign. Don't judge a book by it's cover. The website looks like crap but it has been by far the most accurate for me and others.

Very content

After making various phone calls to friends and family I have been able to raise $600 dollars to donate to Redcross for Haiti.

On another note - I am so happy to have my own blog! I would like this blog to be a place people come and share music, movies, art, ideas, books, restaurants! Anything. A friend of mine showed me this band little joy. The Strokes' drummer Fab Moretti is one of the guitar players. I love her voice and this song especially. I decided to create my own blog to do just that, share my thoughts.

I am trying to raise money to donate to the redcross to help Haiti. I believe that 2010 is about helping the less fortunate. If we could gather some money, even a dollar, it would be helpful I'm sure. Please donate some money yourself or you can give the money to me and we can put it in a piggy bank and donate it together. Just imagine if this had happened to you. Have a little compassion.
